- Systemic lupus erythematosus- Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a disease where the immune system of the body mistakenly attacks healthy tissue. SLE can affect the skin, joints, kidneys, brain, and other organs.
- Autoimmune thyroiditis- is a chronic disease that causes the body to interpret the thyroidgland and its hormone products T3, T4 and TSH as threats, therefore causing
the body to produce specific antibodies that target the thyroid’s cells, thereby destroying it.
