Sarcoma, Soft Tissue

Soft tissue is a term used to describe any tissue that is used to support or connect the body, and may include blood vessels, tendons, ligaments, and nerves, among others. Sarcomas forming in any of these structures are known as soft tissue sarcomas (STS), of which there are well over 50 different types due to the variety of soft tissues throughout the body. Each of these types presents with different risks, symptoms, and often requires different treatment strategies which is why STS is so complex.
